Database Administrator III Job Summary Perform activities related to the administration, maintenance, and optimization of database environments, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability. Responsibilities Database Administrator III The Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and reliability of enterprise database platforms. This role manages database monitoring, health checks, alert response, performance tuning, storage and capacity planning, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, encryption, user access controls, and audit compliance. The DBA partners closely with application teams and business stakeholders to provision databases, support ServiceNow requests, perform data refreshes, troubleshoot issues, and maintain service availability. Additionally, the position works on platform modernization initiatives through automation, cloud adoption, virtualization, and the implementation of database upgrades, patches, and vulnerability remediation to ensure a secure, efficient, and highly resilient database environment.
