Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | 5-Day Work Week | Start Time: 8:00 AM (end times may vary depending on procedures) | Projected Start: 10/05/2026 – 12/27/2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in the PACU setting, collaborating with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, and Surgical staff
• Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for safe patient care delivery
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff; provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Fulfill call requirements: approximately 6–8 days per month

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PACU or relevant RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must not be a local candidate — locals will not be considered for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working collaboratively with surgical and anesthesia teams in a fast-paced perioperative environment
• Familiarity with AORN standards and post-anesthesia care best practices
• Strong leadership and communication skills in a multi-disciplinary care setting
