Unit Notes - General Certification Requirements (BLS): BLS - RDMS is Medical Sonography Required - RVT is Vascular Technology Preferred - How many scanners/rooms does this department have?: 3 - Will they have to float/cover any other areas?: Maybe, not standard - Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: All general US exams, Pare Thora BX, Vascular Exams. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Vascular - Average # of scans/studies per day: 8-16 - EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use: Cerner - Department Specific Equipment (Client, Phillips, Siemens) Phillips EPIQ - Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech: Supervisor - Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? No - Radiologist in-house? Yes - Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) No - Shifts & Scheduling: Day or Evening - Weekend Requirement: Sometimes - Holiday Requirement: Rotate - Call or Standby requirement? Yes - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided? Not Yet Radiation badge required to be provided by the employer.
