Status: Part-Time (20-59 hours per pay period)

This position will be scheduled 1st shift, 8-hour or 12-hour shifts. The 8-hour shifts are scheduled every other weekend and every other holiday. The 12-hr shifts are scheduled every third weekend and every other holiday. Holiday pay is at a rate of double time employee's base pay rate.

As a Caregiver, the successful candidate is not required to be certified in the State of Iowa. You will interact with residents, medication managers, nursing staff and family members in this position.

As a Caregiver, you will assist residents with daily living activities with the goal of enhancing each resident's quality of life. Administer medication reminders and/or medication after completing nurse delegation. Provide showering/bathing and personal hygiene assistance. Get the residents dressed and ready in the morning, evening, and/or as needed. Assists residents with ambulation. Observe and report changes in the residents condition to the Nurse Supervisor. Completes work, and care documentation with accuracy and within a specified time frame. Maintains current knowledge of all applicable resident care policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Complete Mandatory yearly in-service training

• Professional, pleasant and helpful attitude

• Capable of respecting privacy and confidential information
