Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care Float

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for an Acute Care Float position. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care across various units based on staffing needs. This role will require flexibility and adaptability as nurses may float among different departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate nursing care to patients in medical, surgical, and specialty areas.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on individual needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation and communication.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety guidelines.
Schedule

This position requires 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. Nurses will be scheduled for every other weekend shifts.

Patient Care Ratios

The nurse-to-patient ratio varies according to unit needs, typically maintaining a 1:6 ratio.

Qualifications
  • Current and active unencumbered RN license in Tennessee or a multi-state license.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Cerner EMR experience is essential.
