Hours: MON-THURS, 4:00 pm - 2:30 amPay: $25.99/hr. plus $0.50/hr. differential payALL NEW WELDERS: Must be able to train during dayshift hours (7:00am - 3:30pm, Mon-Fri) for about 45-60 days.SummaryIncumbent performs a variety of welding, brazing and cutting techniques using gas and electric welding equipment while observing safety regulations and engaging in UNARCO’s Total Quality Management philosophy. Maintains a clean work area, free of wood, banding material, and other debris and dunnage. Performs other duties as directed by Management.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReceives instructions for job from area supervisor or leadman.Fabricates parts by welding various parts as required by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipmentCleans and prepares surfaces to be welded, sets up, assembles and welds partsMaintains a clean and orderly work areaAbility to lift 50 pounds at a reasonable rate in a normal dayMust meet or exceed production standardsAbility to work without close supervisionMust be able to work scheduled shift as well as overtime & weekends as requiredOther duties as assignedQualificationsAbility to pass company entry level welding and tape testsMust be able to understand verbal and written ordersMust be able to weld a visually acceptable beadMust be able to count and sort productsMust be able to read all blue printsMust be able to complete inventory ticketsMust be able to set up welding machinesMust have manual dexterity skillsEducation and/or experienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)1 years’ experience in welding or lessReasoning AbilityOther Skills and AbilitiesPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
