Position Overview

Mind, Body, & Soul Counseling is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. As part of our Detox Center, you will play a vital role in providing critical mental health services to individuals in recovery, focusing on enhancing their emotional well-being and supporting their journey towards sobriety. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary range of USD 60,000–104,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while maintaining communication with team members and clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth mental health assessments to identify each client’s unique needs and treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that focus on emotional and psychological healing.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individuals experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues.
  • Lead individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities to enhance coping strategies and emotional regulation.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to support clients in distress, ensuring a safe environment throughout their treatment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations, using electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient case management.
  • Engage in team meetings and case conferences to share insights and collaborate on client care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adults seeking recovery from substance use, many of whom may be dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health challenges. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by providing essential support to clients, helping them navigate the complexities of recovery while establishing healthy coping mechanisms.

Qualifications

  • A current and valid professional license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or similar designation is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is essential.
  • A strong foundation in mental health theories and practices, particularly in substance use counseling and trauma-informed care.
  • Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards in client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of post-licensure therapeutic experience is preferred, particularly in a mental health or substance use treatment setting. Experience with detoxification processes and an understanding of the psychosocial aspects of addiction recovery will set you apart as a strong candidate.
