We are committed to providing whole person care, investing in your well-being, and enriching your career.**Key Position Details:*** .8 FTE (64 hours per two-week pay period)* 8-hour night shift; Sunday-Wednesday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM* Every 3rd weekend rotation; Friday and Saturday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM* Initial training consists of 3 weeks on day shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM); greater scheduling flexibility may be available following the training period**Job Description:**Responsible for greeting and welcoming patients in person. Provides a standard registration process by collecting demographic and financial data and enters information into electronic medical record. **Principle Responsibilities*** Greets and welcomes patient in person. + Collects demographic and insurance information. + Checks in or interviews patient to complete appropriate paperwork. + Directs patient to their appointment or procedure. + May assist in scheduling add-on appointments.* Verifies eligibility and benefits information for payers and interprets results. + Obtains signatures from patients as needed. + Collects co-pay or deductibles and respond to questions regarding financial assistance programs available. + Refers complex questions as needed.* Uses resources, tools and procedures to complete accounts in assigned work queues.* Assists patient in completion of request for information forms and submits to appropriate department. + May gather medical record information from all departments for collection. + May mentor new staff.* Other duties as assigned.**Required Qualifications*** Must be 16 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description* 0 to 2 years of customer service experience* 0 to 2 years of general office experience* 0 to 2 years of experience using computer including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook**Preferred Qualifications*** High school diploma or GED* 0 to 2 years of knowledge of the components of revenue cycle and health care insurance**Physical Demands*** Light Work:* Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently**Pay Range**### Pay Range: $21.09 to $27.08 per hour### The pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
