CAD Designer

The CAD Designer candidate will be part of a growing Architectural & Engineering team within the SAI Group, supporting a diverse portfolio of real estate projects such as Green Energy, Telecommunications, Commercial, and High-End Residential Divisions. As a CAD designer, you will be vital in designing, analyzing, and constructing various structures to ensure their safety, stability, and durability for diverse projects.

The ideal candidate should possess a solid technical background, excellent analytical skills, and an extensive working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD to produce technical drawings. The position will require a candidate that can function effectively in a dynamic work environment with the following duties:

• Create 2D and 3D technical drawings and plans using CAD.
• Conduct site visits as necessary to gather information and contribute to design decisions.
• Ensure the technical details and plans' accuracy, precision, efficiency, and quality.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to interpret and translate their designs into technical drawings, plans, and manuals.
• Maintain project files and documentation within SAI and client's repositories.
• Review and analyze data to ensure all specifications and requirements are met.
• Manage multi-discipline project execution while maintaining timelines.
• Contribute to business development endeavors by preparing proposals, statements of qualifications, presentations to clients, and collaborating with management.
• Ensure and maintain a high level of satisfaction with our clients related to compliance services with demonstrated client development and management success.
• Maintaining a library of standard templates and detail blocks.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• An Associate or Bachelor's degree in design, engineering, or a related field is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD with minimum 2 years of hands on experience. Experience with AutoCAD electrical is a plus.
• Practical written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present technical information to stakeholders.
• Excellent team-building, interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Ability and willingness to travel for short-term meetings.
• Ability to create process improvement policies, tools, and client-specific CAD guides for drafting and engineering teams.
• Skilled in file sharing, document management, and collaboration tools such as Sharepoint, Dropbox, Autodesk, Vault, Workfront, ProjectWise, etc.
