As a Security Officer Patrol Response in Roanoke, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access activity, respond to alarms and/or site concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response actions when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including operational areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help identify unusual activity and security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials where required, and help to deter unauthorized access to utility-related facilities and restricted areas.
• Prepare clear reports of incidents, maintenance issues, and security-related observations, and relay important information to supervisors and/or designated personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
