Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,085 a week in all, a taxable rate of $20 an hour plus $1,364.85 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Pediatric Float Nurse – Pediatric Float – Location unspecified. This role involves providing specialized care across pediatric units, including Hematology/Oncology, Med Surg, and all pediatric specialties within a healthcare facility. The position requires flexibility in floating to various pediatric care areas to meet patient needs.

Job Details

• Certifications and Qualifications: Valid Iowa (IA) license or multistate license, with current BLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association), and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) certification. Must have a minimum of two years of Pediatric and/or Oncology experience, with pediatric experience in the past 18 months.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Care for pediatric patients with Hematology/Oncology needs, including pediatric specialties such as Hem/Onc and Med Surg, with potential for floating across NICU, general pediatric floors, and pediatric emergency department. Must be willing to work during summer holidays with designated holiday requirements.
• Experience Requirements: Two years of Pediatric and/or Oncology experience required; prior pediatric experience within 18 months preferred.
• Additional Information: Experience with electronic medical records (EPIC) within the past 12 months required. Must be willing to float to emergency department for inpatient care and work during designated holiday periods.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates should have a current driver’s license, professional references from within the last 24 months, and documentation of relevant certifications.
