Role Administers targeted radiation therapy to treat cancerous tumors, ensuring precise patient positioning and adherence to safety protocols. Operates advanced radiation equipment, monitors patient responses, and collaborates with healthcare teams to achieve optimal outcomes. Responsibilities Position patients accurately for treatment to maximize effectiveness and minimize healthy tissue exposure Administer prescribed radiation doses following safety standards Perform equipment checks and troubleshoot issues as needed Review prescriptions, diagnoses, and patient charts for accuracy and compliance Follow radiation protection principles to ensure safety for patients and staff Maintain detailed treatment records and reports Conduct treatment sessions independently under physician guidance Operate and adjust equipment settings, enter data, and monitor patient reactions Perform other assigned duties within scope of practice Qualifications & Skills Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program At least one year of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist Current BLS Certification; ARRT certification preferred Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills Physical ability to handle equipment and remain stationary or move as needed Proficiency in reading, writing, PC skills, and following instructions Ability to work effectively with diverse personnel and cope with pressure Benefits include Competitive pay comprehensive insurance PTO life and disability coverage 401(k) matching referral bonuses support from dedicated recruiters #J-18808-Ljbffr Live Well Homecare
