By participating in feasibility studies and testing, you will help refine designs that provide customers with unparalleled security and visibility. Your work ensures that our products are not only functional but also optimized for durability and performance in real-world environments, contributing to the future of our hardware portfolio.In this role, you will:Assist in the design and analysis of mechanical systems and packaging.Participate in feasibility studies and testing for new and modified designs.Prepare detailed design documentation for product fabrication.Collaborate with multi-functional teams to resolve infrastructural specifications.Minimum QualificationsCurrently enrolled in one of the following:-An undergraduate degree program (Associate's or Bachelor's) with 2 years of work experience; or -A Master’s degree program with 0 years of work experience.-Qualifying education should be in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.-Expected to continue enrollment in degree program following completion of the internship.Previous experience with CAD design tools, mechanical systems, or hardware packaging in an academic, project, or professional capacity.Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and technical problem-solvingPreferred QualificationsExperience performing mechanical simulations or utilizing analysis software tools.Familiarity with prototype fabrication techniques such as 3D printing or precision machining.Exposure to hardware testing and debugging methodologies in a laboratory setting.Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and generate detailed technical drawings.Ability to actively contribute to the goals of multi-functional project teams.Why Cisco?
