Qualifications Two (2) years of payment refunds experience, with collections, billing, and/or registration experience in a healthcare or insurance setting being a plus, OR any combination of equivalent education and experience. Typing skills with a minimum of 35 wpm and good communication skills are required. Visit our website to learn more about our organization. - Review credits to determine if a refund is due to insurance.
- Review credits to determine if a refund is due to the patient.
- Understand how to read an Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
- Understand allowables.
- Work line items and apply credits and debits appropriately.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate trends or issues with payers.
- Assist with other areas of receipts processing as needed.
