Job Full Description Job Title: Prep Cook Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Prep Cook to support our kitchen team by preparing ingredients and assisting with basic cooking tasks. The ideal candidate will work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, maintain high food safety standards, and contribute to a clean, organized kitchen. Key Responsibilities Wash, peel, cut, and portion fruits, vegetables, meats, and other ingredients Measure and prepare ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions Assist cooks and chefs with basic food preparation and cooking tasks Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas Label and store ingredients properly, following food safety and rotation procedures (FIFO) Stock and replenish kitchen supplies as needed Dispose of waste and maintain sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when required #3142NJ Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous kitchen or food service experience is a plus, but not required Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Strong attention to detail and time management skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30-50 pounds Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Work Environment Fast-paced kitchen setting Exposure to hot surfaces, sharp tools, and kitchen equipment Standing, walking, and frequent lifting required Woodbury, NJ 3142 877 Kings Highway Suite 100 West Deptford, NJ 08096
