Duties consist mainly of moving equipment between job sites and the Tapani yard. Responsibilities Mobilize equipment using low-boysEnsure all of the right permits and correct paperwork have been acquired before making a moveEnsure all items on the truck bed are secureMake sure all loads are legalUnderstand weight restrictions on routesAssist Equipment Dispatcher in deciding best routes for permitsEnsure driving laws are adhered toDo standard maintenance checks on the truckAssist with piloting oversize loadsHelping keep the yard organized when returning loads back to the shopModerate degree of complexity:Moving oversize loads through traffic and narrow city streets and narrow county roads.Determination of time frames when mobilizing oversize loads between restrictions.Tracking hours on duty.Making decisions when it comes to cancelling a move due to restrictions/ on duty hoursCommunicating with others within the organization. Job Requirements and Qualifications 1-2 years of related working experienceClass A CDL required with fifth wheel endorsement and minimal restrictions.A good understanding of safely securing difficult loadsHave a good knowledge of road systems in Washington and OregonA competent driver with large loadsCommunication between co-workers.Ability to push, pull, and lift 100lbs.Ability to carry 80lbs.Ability to perform basic mathAbility to work as a teamIndependent judgment/actionDecision making skillsCustomer service skillsAbility to present/teach, mentor and train Working Environment The working environment for this position will be mainly operating a truck and the field and facilities yard.Working hours typically range between the hours of 7am to 5pm.
