Registered Respiratory Therapist - ICU, ER, NICU Experience

Location: Biddeford, ME

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7 PM to 7 AM, Night Shift

Job Description: The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care to patients in the ICU, ER, Nursery, and Med Surge floors. This role requires experience in treating pediatric patients needing intubation and mechanical ventilation, as well as participation in high-risk deliveries and resuscitation teams. Familiarity with ventilation equipment and EPIC documentation is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy and manage ventilation for critically ill patients.
• Participate in high-risk cesarean sections and resuscitation of newborns.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize Drager V500 and Hamilton T-1 ventilators proficiently.
• Document patient information accurately using EPIC.
• Float throughout the hospital to assist in various patient areas.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Hold certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in ICU, ER, and Nursery.
• Experience with treating pediatric patients in critical settings is preferred.
