Manager, Business Systems

Advance the Architectural Metals strategic technology roadmap and manage daily operations across all brands Partner with IT and business leaders to develop, align, and execute technology initiatives Define project concepts, objectives, scope, benefits, budgets, timelines, resource needs, and expected business outcomes Provide technical leadership and manage IT efforts across ERP, CPQ, customer portals, reporting, integrations, and manufacturing systems Ensure project solutions are technically sound, scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with Apogee standards Support project governance, milestone planning, status assessment, issue and risk escalation, resource coordination, and decision-making Translate business process and system knowledge into requirements, design input, test support, deployment planning, and post-go-live stabilization Provide daily operational support for core business systems across Architectural Metals Triage, prioritize, and resolve production issues with business users, IT teams, and vendors Manage intake and enhancement requests, including security, access, and SOX-related activities Provide escalation support for business-critical operational issues involving reporting, data, integrations, customer-facing portals, and manufacturing execution dependencies Maintain support documentation, ownership, and knowledge transfer Coordinate and manage full-time, part-time, and project-based IT resources Conduct performance reviews, salary administration, coaching, and employee development Establish and manage project funding and annual operational budgets Manage contracts and vendors in the area of responsibility Requirements BS MIS, Comp Science or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years of progressive IT related and/or supervisory experience Minimum 3 years of hands-on business system/application support experience ERP and CPQ functional experience with full implementation lifecycle preferred Full end to end experience in Quote to Order to Cash for a manufacturing business Proven leadership and management skills Strong understanding of business systems, application support, and manufacturing processes, including Quote-to-Order-to-Cash, ERP, CPQ, portals, reporting, integrations, and manufacturing-support applications Ability to translate business objectives into practical process design, requirements, solution priorities, testing, deployment, change management, and post-go-live support plans Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and client service skills Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to work within Apogee standards, governance, security, access control, change management, and SOX-related processes Ability to travel approximately 10% across the US and Canada Hard Skills Business Process Design Requirements Gathering Solution Prioritization Testing and Deployment Change Management Post-Go-Live Support Troubleshooting Data Integration Manufacturing Processes Quote-to-Order-to-Cash Soft Skills Analytical Skills Client Service Skills Communication Skills Certifications & Qualifications BS MIS Computer Science Degree Industry Keywords Architectural Metals Project Governance SOX Compliance Operational Support Vendor Management Tools & Technologies ERP Systems CPQ Systems Customer Portals Reporting Tools Manufacturing Execution Systems Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in managing IT operations and project initiatives within the Architectural Metals sector, with a strong focus on ERP and CPQ systems, business process translation, and compliance with Apogee standards.
