About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Inpatient Surgical Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: C-section experience Flexibility with changing assignments during the shift Description: Strict 75-mile radius rule applies. Experience required includes 1 travel assignment. Charge Nurse position is available on all units. Patient-to-nurse ratio is generally 1:6. Nurse Aides and OB Techs are present. CNA ratio is typically 1:8, generally 1:10, with occasional sitters. Weekend requirement is every other weekend. On-call requirement is low census. Holiday schedule rotates with permanent staff. Scrub color is Caribbean Blue. Telemetry monitoring is available on different units. Ventilation support includes BIPAP, CPAP used primarily at night, and Vapotherm. Neonatologist is in-house. IV team is not available but PICC is on call 24/7. Pharmacy services are available 24/7. Shifts begin at 6:45 AM for 12-hour durations. MedSurg floats to various specialties including Orthopedic, Neuro, Oncology, and Acute Care. Floating policies apply for ICU and ED to Cardiology and ICU. Charting is performed using a specific system. Experience in common diagnoses and patient types is a requirement.
