At APEK Electronic Restoration, we perform a unique and vital service: we help families and businesses recover from unexpected property damage by restoring the items that matter most. Based right here in Troy, Michigan, our warehouse is the hub where the magic happens. We aren't just moving boxes; we are helping people get back on their feet after difficult situations. We are currently looking for an Electronic Appliance Testing Inventory Specialist to join our hands-on team. You will be the first set of eyes on the goods that come through our doors, playing a critical role in evaluating what can be saved and helping us catalog every piece with precision. We pride ourselves on a welcoming, collaborative environment where your curiosity and reliability are genuinely appreciated. Responsibilities
- Carefully receive, inspect, and test recovered electronics and appliances to determine their condition.
- Document inventory findings accurately in our tracking system to ensure seamless project management.
- Perform basic diagnostic procedures to assess functionality and note any specific defects or damage.
- Organize items within the warehouse to maintain a safe, efficient, and accessible workspace.
- Coordinate with the restoration team to flag items that are repairable versus those that need to be categorized for recycling or disposal.
- Keep your workspace tidy and contribute to a positive atmosphere where every team member feels valued.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical aptitude with an interest in electronics or home appliances.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and navigate a warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate inventory logging.
- Comfort using handheld scanners and inventory management software.
- Previous experience in restoration, warehouse operations, or appliance repair is helpful but not strictly required.
