Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: - Minimum 3 years of experience - HFNC, BIPAP experience - Stable GTT management - Postoperative management for CABG, AVR, and MVR - Cardiovascular and vascular experience - AAA repair experience - Lobectomy experience - CEA experience - NSTEMI and STEMI management - ACS management - Pacemaker management - Sepsis management - Gastrointestinal bleeding management - Post DKA management - Respiratory failure management - Tracheostomy care Description: This position is for a 30-bed step-down unit. Staff will float between critical care services. Candidates must have experience with high-flow nasal cannula and BIPAP. Candidates should be knowledgeable in stable glucose management. Experience in postoperative care is required for CABG, AVR, and MVR patients. Candidates must have experience with various cardiovascular and vascular procedures. Experience handling AAA repairs and lobectomy procedures is necessary. Knowledge of CEA procedures and NSTEMI/STEMI management is essential. Familiarity with acute coronary syndrome treatment is required. Candidates should be capable of managing pacemakers and dealing with sepsis cases. Experience with gastrointestinal bleeding and post-DKA management is necessary. Candidates must be able to assist with respiratory failure and manage tracheostomy care.
