Job Title: Helicopter Mechanic
Location: Mesa, AZ
Duration: 12 Months assignment
Shift Schedule: 4/10 Mon-Fri (5 am to 3:30 pm)
Job Description:
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
- Assists with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes.
- Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
- Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
- Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications.
- Assists with performs tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.G. jacking, towing, system operations).
- Daily tasks include repair, modification and or assembly of AH-64 mechanical components.
Required Skills:
- Requires proficiency in reading and writing in English along with the ability to pass certification classes including Torque, Safety Practices, Mixing and Sealant, and Precision Measuring Equipment to name a few.
- Candidates must be computer literate to follow work instructions, record maintenance and labor activities.
- Must be able to lift 35lbs and remain standing for extended periods of time.
Preferred Skills
- Previous AH-64, or similar aircraft experience is preferred.
Education/Experience
- Typically acquired through basic education (e.G. high school diploma/GED).
