Company Description City Wide Facility Solutions - Richmond delivers comprehensive building maintenance services for commercial properties, from janitorial to over 20 specialized solutions such as parking lot repair, lawn and landscaping, and handyman services. Role Description The Accounts Payable Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Richmond, VA, responsible for supporting the financial operations of City Wide Facility Solutions - Richmond. This position manages vendor invoices, verifies accuracy and proper authorization, and processes payments in a timely manner. Daily tasks include reconciling statements, coding expenses to appropriate accounts, preparing and entering journal entries, and maintaining organized records in accordance with company policies. The role also involves monitoring expense reports, addressing discrepancies, communicating with vendors and internal teams, maintain and produce 1099 records and contributing to process improvements to ensure efficient and accurate accounts payable operations. Qualifications Strong accounting and finance skills, including a solid understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger Accounting and Finance. Experience preparing and recording Journal Entries (Accounting) and reconciling accounts. Ability to manage and review Expense Reports with attention to detail and compliance with company policies. Analytical Skills to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and support accurate financial reporting. Proficiency with accounting software ( CRM, BC ) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. Ability to work on-site in Richmond, VA and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
