Project Manager

About the Role:


We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of CAL FIRE's public incident information application . The ideal candidate will manage timelines, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder communications while ensuring project quality, compliance, and alignment with CAL FIRE's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead end-to-end delivery for CAL FIRE's public incident information app.
2. Manage project schedules, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder communications with CAL FIRE and cross-functional teams.
3. Drive Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
4. Oversee quality assurance, testing, and compliance with public sector standards.
5. Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements.
6. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget .
7. Collaborate closely with engineering, design, QA, and product teams to meet objectives.
8. Track progress using project management tools and prepare detailed status reports.
9. Identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
10. Promote continuous improvement in project execution and communication processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. 7+ years of project management experience in SaaS, mobile applications, or public sector projects .
2. Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies .
3. Proven ability to manage large-scale, cross-functional initiatives .
4. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
5. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, MS Project, Trello ).
6. PMP certification preferred (or equivalent).
7. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's a plus).
