Job Description Lycée International de Houston Pre-School Section is seeking English HomeroomPre-School Teachers (PK3-KG) for the 2026-2027 School Year. Required Qualifications Associate’s degree in early LearningEducation, or a related field Minimum 5 years of full-timepre-schoolteaching experience(PK3-KG) Strong command of English (native or near-nativeproficiency)Spanish a plus. Legal authorization to work in the United States Experience in an independent, private, or international school setting ESL or EAL certification/experience Familiarity with inquiry-based or international educational approaches Demonstratedproficiencywith digital tools and platforms (learning management systems, electronic gradebooks, online instructional tools, and classroom technology) Ideal Candidates Will: Demonstrate strong pedagogy and best practices in Pre-school teaching and language development Create a structured, nurturing, and academically rigorous classroom environment Support the social, emotional, and intellectual development of young learners Foster cross-cultural understanding and respect within a multicultural school community Be adaptable, collaborative, and enthusiastic contributors to school life A love and enthusiasm forteachingyoung children An interest in early childhood development mastery of teaching a pre-school age group Patience, creativity, optimism, and adaptability Elementary teachers at LIH are expected to: Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of English as an Additional Language (EAL) students Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum. Teach foundational literacy, numeracy, science, and arts conceptsappropriate forPre-School learners.
