Job Summary:
Midwest Region Nebraska. This RN - Medical Surgical Floor position is based on a 12-hour night shift in a Med / Tele Swing Unit. The role involves providing patient care to adult and geriatric populations, including occasional pediatric cases, primarily managing swing bed patients requiring IV antibiotics, therapy, or wound care. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of the assignment.

Job Details:

• Certifications Required: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• Education/Degree: RN License.
• Location Requirements: Nebraska, with candidates required to have a valid driver's license and reside within 50 miles of the facility.
• Years of Experience: 2 years of relevant experience preferred, but minimum of 0 years is acceptable.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Qualifications: Must be able to float to the Emergency Department to provide backup support during high volume periods.
• Responsibilities include participating in self-scheduling with manager approval, working every 3rd or sometimes every other weekend, and rotating through holiday shifts as per unit needs.
• Orientation: Two days of unit-specific training.
• Float Requirements: Float to Emergency Department as needed to support high patient volume.
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs.
• RTO Policy: Requested upfront (7 or fewer days per 13-week contract); no additional RTO will be approved after submission.
• Cancellation Policy: Hospital can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment, or three shifts if less than 13 weeks.
