Quality Inspector

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to ensure our manufactured products meet high quality and performance standards. In this role, you will perform in-process and final inspections, interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and use precision measuring tools and CMM equipment to verify product accuracy.

This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing quality, machining, or inspection experience who enjoys hands-on work and problem-solving in a clean, modern facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and inspection procedures
• Perform in-process and final inspections on parts and finished products
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM (coordinate measuring machine)
• Identify nonconforming products and initiate rework or corrective action
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
• Support production by assisting with material handling, machining, or workflow as needed
• Determine and apply appropriate inspection methods and measurement techniques
• Assist in selecting and sourcing inspection tools and equipment
• Use Microsoft Excel and Office tools to track and analyze quality data
• Communicate quality issues clearly with production and team members
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

What We're Looking For (Core Skills)

• 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or quality assurance in manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Hands-on experience with calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools
• Experience operating or working with CMM equipment
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality standards
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills (metric and standard measurements)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and on a team

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience with CMM setup or programming
• Associate degree or technical certification (machining, manufacturing, or related field)
• Familiarity with nonconformance, corrective actions, and quality documentation
• Experience with precision machining or production environments
• Leadership or mentoring experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
