Social Media and Digital Marketing Specialist

Al-Furqaan Foundation is a nationwide Islamic nonprofit established in 2003, dedicated to advancing Quranic education and serving the Muslim community through educational programs, community outreach, and Islamic scholarship initiatives. This is a full-time, in-office position based at their headquarters in Romeoville, Illinois. Role Overview The Social Media and Digital Marketing Specialist develops and executes the organization's comprehensive digital marketing strategy to strengthen online presence while maintaining alignment with Islamic values and the foundation's mission. Key Responsibilities Manage all organizational social media channels (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn) with consistent content creation, scheduling, and community engagement Create engaging multimedia content including graphics, short-form videos, and written copy that authentically reflects Islamic values Execute SEO and SEM optimization strategies across the website and digital campaigns Coordinate email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp Plan and manage paid advertising campaigns on Google and Meta platforms Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance using Google Analytics Engage with online communities and coordinate with partner Muslim organizations Collaborate with internal teams across programming, fundraising, and outreach Ensure all content and campaigns comply with Islamic principles and organizational policies Monitor and adapt to evolving platform algorithms and digital marketing trends Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field 3+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or similar role (nonprofit or religious sector experience preferred) Strong content creation skills: graphic design, video editing, copywriting Deep, sincere understanding of Islamic values and practices Proficiency with Hootsuite, Google Analytics, and Mailchimp Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and project management abilities What's Offered Competitive salary based on experience 401(k) retirement plan Health insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Monday–Friday work schedule #J-18808-Ljbffr Ummahjobs
