Job Summary:

Position Title: Registered Respiratory Care Practitione r

Location: Templeton, CA 93465

Duration: 13 weeks

Work Schedule: Rotating Shift, 07:00 AM-07:30 PM

Pay rate : 55-65$/hr.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Provide basic and critical respiratory care services to adult and geriatric patients.
• Assess and document the appropriateness of prescribed respiratory therapies and provide recommendations as needed.
• Administer aerosol and oxygen therapy while maintaining accurate patient records.
• Draw arterial blood gases (ABGs) according to physician orders and department policies.
• Provide respiratory care and monitoring for ventilator patients.
• Perform drainage procedures and provide additional patient care related to cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Document all respiratory care provided, treatments, charges, and required records in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with department record keeping, operations, and quality-related activities.
• Assist with training and supervision of new employees as delegated.
• Provide instruction to nursing personnel regarding patient and equipment surveillance after initial installation.
• Provide recommendations regarding patient treatment and pulmonary progress.
• Follow department policies, patient safety standards, and applicable respiratory care procedures.
• Requirements:
• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program required.
• California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT credential preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP certification required at hire or within 90 days.
• ACLS certification required at hire or within 90 days.
• PALS certification required at hire or within 90 days.
• AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS accepted.
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS accepted.
• AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS accepted.
• Experience providing respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients preferred.
