Location Oncology Consultants - Medical Center CCO Office Pay Range $51,646.40 - $95,929.60 Job Description Summary Provides safe, accurate and efficient patient care, including but not limited to patient assessment, review of labs and vital signs, medication safety, dose verification, and drug administration. Follows all Job Breakdown Instructions (JBIs) associated with role. Provides triage care when necessary. Communicates patient condition effectively to multidisciplinary team members. Key Performance Areas Safely and accurately administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care, and non‑oncologic agents to patients as ordered by providers. Uses Oncology Nurse’s Society (ONS) standards and guidelines. Accurately disposes of biohazardous waste per OSHA and NIOSH guidelines. Responsible for new and ongoing patient education, continual patient assessment, and support. Documents thoroughly, accurately, and timely in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) of treatment rendered. Ensures appropriate charges are captured by following guidelines for all administrations. Follows proper patient identification per JBI. Educates patients and caregivers about medications, side effects, and planned treatment course. Interacts with patients and families in a caring, professional manner. Performs telephone triage: prioritizes incoming calls and messages from patients, families, hospitals, nursing facilities, pharmacies, and physician offices. Responds appropriately within an acceptable timeframe. Assists with inventory and re‑stocking medical supplies, recommends purchase of new items. Attends mandatory safety, nursing, and staff meetings. Maintains confidentiality of all patient and employee information. Helps train new employees related to job duties per JBIs. Will work at any company location and overtime as needed. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Complies with all federal and state laws, regulations, and policies including IT and Disaster Plan. Education Nursing Degree Certifications / Licenses Unencumbered RN license in the state of employment or multi‑state license Current CPR and BLS certifications Valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed Previous Experience (including Minimum Years Of Experience) Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting Ability to assess patient needs and condition is essential. Requires strong critical thinking skills, calm and effective reaction in emergency situations, and fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills. MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook EMR Travel ≤25% Standard Core Workdays / Hours Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
