Regional Plant Controller

Summary Description The Regional Plant Controller is accountable for the overall integrity, accuracy, and completeness of the company’s operations financial results and safeguarding of plant assets. The role partners with Sr. Ops Directors and operations management teams for the plants in the region, providing timely and comprehensive financial leadership. Essential Functions Financial Reporting and Controls / Compliance Responsible for delivering accurate, timely financial results for multiple plant operations in accordance with IFRS and company processes. Provide financial guidance and support to plant management, proactively communicating accounting/reporting issues and recommendations. Interpret and present monthly EBITDA results to Sr. Ops Directors. Advise management on key business decisions to enable effective operations and cost savings. Guide plant management in capital expenditure requests, ensuring compliance and accurate projections. Oversee post-capex audits and reviews. Ensure the plant finance team reports plant financial data accurately. Ensure compliance with key control procedures and corporate policies at the local level. Monitor plant finance team compliance with the Inventory Cycle Count Policy. Maintain open communication with peers to foster consistent financial management across local units. Support external and internal audits at operating facilities. Complete ad-hoc reporting requests as needed. Budgeting / Forecasting Manage weekly/monthly/quarterly forecast processes with plant teams and finance staff to deliver accurate forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities. Lead the development of the annual Operating Plan for manufacturing facilities within the region. Business Analysis Support Work with Plant Management to identify and recommend process improvements that deliver financial benefits or mitigate financial risks. Analyze financial data to facilitate decision-making at the plant management level. Required Skills and Competencies Staff management experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills. Ability to operate and consistently deliver in a changing environment. IT literate (Microsoft Office). ERP system experience (SAP preferred). High level of accountability; self-starter with strong initiative and ability to work independently. Detail-oriented with strong customer service orientation. Ability to multi-task and work in an organized manner under tight deadlines. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Financial modeling experience. Knowledge of financial accounting systems, controls, and compliance procedures. Strong business ethics commitment. Financial analysis skills; ability to extract meaning from data by recognizing trends and patterns. US GAAP/IFRS knowledge. Sarbanes‑Oxley knowledge. Consumer goods experience. Experience managing multiple remote sites. Demonstrated continuous improvement and cost savings development. Experience implementing and maintaining Sarbanes‑Oxley controls. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required). CPA, CMA or equivalent designation. Manufacturing and costing experience. Minimum of 5 years at controller level.
