Registered Nurse- Perioperative

The Pre-Post Operative Surgery Registered Nurse provides care for patients before and after surgery/invasive procedures, while providing a therapeutic environment. The Pre-Post Registered Nurse prepares the patient who will undergo surgery/invasive procedures via skilled assessment, teaching and collaboration with the perioperative team for their return to the community at large. Requirements Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program. Current and valid California Registered Nurse license. Current AHA CPR/AED for the healthcare professional required. Current AHA ACLS required. One-year ICU/PACUexperience in an acute hospital nursing setting. BSN preferred Solid experience with PACUpatients for surgery and/or GI procedures preferred. Ability to organize, prioritize and manage care in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills. Computerized-based documentation experience required.
