Job Description: Outpatient Oncology / Infusion RN assignment for a 13-week contract working 8-hour day shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The RN will provide specialized infusion and oncology nursing care in an outpatient infusion center setting focused on patient-centered care and intravenous therapy services. This role includes administration of specialty medications, chemotherapy support, vascular access management, infusion monitoring, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration in a fast-paced outpatient oncology environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years current outpatient oncology and infusion experience required
• Active ONS Chemotherapy Certification required
• Active OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) required
• Active New York RN license required
• Active AHA BLS certification required
• Active AHA ACLS certification required
• Peripheral IV insertion experience required
• Port, fistula, and catheter management experience required
• EPIC experience required
• IV Certification highly preferred
• Previous travel experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• De-escalation training required for onboarding
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Maximum 5 days RTO allowed and must be submitted at time of submission
• Permanent address required and must meet facility travel radius guidelines

Procedures: The Oncology RN will administer and monitor chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, IV antibiotics, hydration therapy, iron infusions, IVIG, biologic therapies, and specialty infusion medications in an outpatient infusion setting. Responsibilities include vascular access device management, PICC line care, patient assessments, medication education, infusion monitoring, documentation in EPIC, patient discharge teaching, coordination with oncology providers, and maintenance of infusion safety standards. The RN will also support therapeutic phlebotomies, implanted pump maintenance, and infusion-related patient care while ensuring compliance with oncology nursing standards and safety protocols.
