Join us!Job Description:This job is responsible for defining an architectural vision and solution aligned to the enterprise architecture strategy, technology, and platform choices. Key responsibilities include describing the solution intent/associated operating environment, evaluating system impacts, determining the primary systems/sub-systems and their interfaces, and assisting with end-to-end solution design. Job expectations include defining non-functional requirements/architectural runway to support new epics/features and ensuring solutions are fit for purpose by working with stakeholders and service providers.Position Summary:Leads and/or participates in the design, development, and implementation of complex system engineering activities involving cross-functional technical support, systems programming and data center capabilities. Responsible for components of highly complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities. Establishes input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility, coordination of subsystems design, and integration of total system. Viewed as a technology subject matter expert; able to provide and communicate complex technology solutions across differing audiences including technical, managerial, business executives, and/or vendors. Will have responsibility for multiple, complex projects; will direct activities of teams related to special initiatives or operations. Leads the resolution process for complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.Responsibilities:Consults with the business and operations to identify and understand challenges and opportunities to improve the use and effectiveness of technology, find creative solutions through knowledge of the domain, practical experiments, and Proof of Concepts, and aligns the solution intent and architectural vision to an evolving backlog of technology changeWorks with product management and other stakeholders to plan and prioritize technology focused backlog items for the architecture runway to enable business epics/featuresPerforms design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements for a solution are sufficiently met (for example, security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability)Leads rapid shaping of a high level architecture with details filled in with emerging business requirements and ensures architecture is flexible, modular, and designed to adapt easilyEducates team members on the technology practices, standardization strategies, and best practices to create innovative solutionsClarifies the architecture and assists with system design for the development teams to support implementation and provides solution options to resolve any architectural impedimentsUtilizes the defined best practices, templates, and documentation to create architectural designs and suggests improvements to best practices and templatesSupports for end-to-end infrastructure technology projects for coordinating the requirements, design of servers, network and storage for Bank of America projectsRole has matrix execution responsibility across technology organizations, CIO teams as well as LOBManages multiple projects or a single complex projectPartners with Program and Project Managers and SMEs to create business requirements for technology solutions.Assists with technology estimates, manages low to moderate complexity technology solutions for projects to a full-scale deployment in a live environmentUse the right questions and tools to uncover root causes to business challenges, identify opportunities, and make recommendationsLook to simplify and standardize application stack and remove developer customizationRequired Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of Enterprise level design experience.Extensive experience in some or all of Distributed Operating Systems, Databases, Middleware, Mainframe and Data NetworksExperience of large scale complex projects Desired Qualifications:Excellent written and oral communication skills and relationship building skillsExperience providing end to end design guidance and oversight for large scale initiativesAbility to lead a team through technical challenges both tactically and strategicallyExperience translating product roadmaps and key technical strategies and directionTechnical aptitude - has the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, applicationsA self-motivated, hands-on, driven individual Skills:Analytical ThinkingArchitectureResult OrientationSolution DesignTechnical Strategy DevelopmentApplication DevelopmentCollaborationData ManagementDevOps PracticesRisk ManagementAgile PracticesAutomationInfluenceSolution Delivery ProcessTest EngineeringShift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week: 40Pay Transparency detailsUS - NJ - Pennington - 1300 American Blvd - Hopewell Bldg 3 (NJ2130)Pay and benefits informationPay range$105,600.00 - $165,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.Discretionary incentive eligibleThis role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
