Field Operations Dispatch Supervisor

Position Purpose/Summary The Field Operations Dispatcher is committed to providing the highest quality of service to the communities, customers, and employees we serve by ensuring seamless operations through coordinating the scheduling and dispatching of drivers, work crews, vehicles, and equipment. The Dispatcher is responsible for efficiently managing resources, responding to immediate needs, and maintaining effective communication channels. Primary Duties & Responsibilities The dispatcher schedules and dispatches drivers, work crews, vehicles, or equipment to appropriate locations as per predetermined schedules, customer requests, or urgent requirements. Facilitate the relay of crucial information such as work orders, messages, or updates between work crews, field inspectors, supervisors, and emergency personnel. Utilize telephones, two-way radios, or text messages to promptly communicate with employees or emergency responders, ensuring swift response and action. Collaborate with supervisors or customers to address issues, fulfill service requests, or allocate necessary equipment or resources. Prepare daily work schedules, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and adherence to operational timelines. Generate work orders for crews or receive work orders from field teams, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Oversee communications within assigned company territories, fostering effective coordination and collaboration. Maintain organized records of work requests, customer interactions, completed tasks, service charges, expenses, inventory, and other pertinent information. Fulfilling any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support operational efficiency and excellence. Ability to use appropriate computer programs (including Microsoft Office Suite) and adapt to changing programs and processes. Ability to function effectively as a team player. Knowledge of and ability to comply with Company’s Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) regulations and procedures. Ability to work a flexible work schedule, as needed, to best serve our customers. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of relevant dispatch experience.
