Data Engineer

Job Summary Ever‑expanding technology such as IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence provides more structured and unstructured data than ever before. As a Data Engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data‑engineering activities on mission‑driven projects. You’ll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful for clients in areas including fraud detection, cancer research, and national intelligence. Responsibilities • Build and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines in a fast‑paced, agile environment.

• Work with a multidisciplinary team of analysts, engineers, developers, and data consumers to assess, design, develop, and maintain data solutions.
• Use analytical exploration and data examination to support client missions.

Qualifications 3+ years of experience with major data science languages such as Python and R 3+ years of experience retrieving, merging, and analyzing structured and unstructured data sources from APIs and databases through Python, R, or SQL Experience with database design and administration in DBMS such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL Experience with data analytics, data mining, statistical analysis, or AI/ML TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in data engineering, or 12+ years of experience in data engineering in lieu of a degree Preferred Qualifications Experience with data visualization software such as Tableau and PowerBI Experience conducting data architecture and ETL for the DoD or a federal agency Experience with HUMINT Knowledge of DevOps tools and technologies, including git, Jenkins, or SonarQube Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required. Compensation and Benefits Provied salary range: $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).
