Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN)

As a critical member of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards and the nursing process. This role involves supervising and directing the activities of various levels of nursing staff, as well as collaborating with other multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse will utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent discretion while providing patient-centered care. Responsibilities include assessing patient health, developing care plans, implementing care delivery, and evaluating progress towards achieving health outcomes.

Essential Functions

• Collect relevant data regarding patient health and analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
• Develop a care plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes.
• Implement the care plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and safety.
• Evaluate progress towards attaining patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide compassionate care in a safe environment.
• Provide educational opportunities for patients, family members, and team members.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegate responsibilities appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience in an acute care facility preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification is required.
• AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification is required.
• At least two years of recent experience in the field is required.

Organizational Requirements

All associates must receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Medical and religious exemptions may apply.

This position is available for night shifts, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Prior experience with electronic health record systems, specifically EPIC, is preferred.
