Job Summary
Labor And Delivery (L&D) specialty nurse in a facility caring for high-risk obstetrics and a culturally diverse patient population. The position involves round-the-clock care, with a focus on supporting high-risk deliveries and postpartum patients, including assisting with cesarean sections and neonatal care. The role begins on 10/19/2026 and concludes on 01/18/2027, offering an opportunity for first-time travelers to gain valuable experience in a dynamic clinical environment.

Job Details

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid California state license, at least 1 year of Clinical experience, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP certifications, specific skills including administration of blood products, assist with high-risk delivery, sterile speculum exam, vaginal delivery, cesarean section, epidural anesthesia, postpartum hemorrhage management, fetal monitoring, neonatal care, and use of EFM.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetric patients, foot care in postpartum, neonatal assessment, and maternal-newborn bonding protocols.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to meet facility needs; travelers are first to float within their scope.
• Additional Information: The position requires working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Applicants must include responses regarding previous work at similar facilities and provide two recent references covering one year prior to start.
• Travel Compliance: Must be able to work within 50 miles of the facility and hold a valid compact license; applicants are expected to adhere to specific scheduling and RTO policies.
