About the Position

A rewarding Locum Medical Director opportunity in Geriatric Medicine is available for a board-certified physician with leadership experience in senior care . This role provides the opportunity to lead clinical operations while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to older adults with complex and chronic medical needs within a collaborative interdisciplinary care model.

The Medical Director will oversee the clinical quality, physician leadership, and medical management of geriatric participants , ensuring coordinated care that supports independence and improves quality of life for elderly patients living in the community.

This is a full-time weekday locum leadership role offering a balanced schedule and the opportunity to work closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team including physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, therapists, and care coordinators.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

• Active and unrestricted physician license in Massachusetts

• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (Required)

• Board Certification or fellowship training in Geriatric Medicine (Preferred)

• DEA registration and controlled substance certification

• Minimum one year of clinical experience working with frail or elderly populations

• Prior supervisory or physician leadership experience

• Strong skills in chronic disease management, geriatric assessment, and interdisciplinary collaboration

• Ability to work effectively in community-based senior care programs

• Experience with quality improvement and clinical oversight initiatives
