Area Process Manager-Power

The Power / Recovery Area Manager will be responsible for managing theSupply of steam, electricity, air and water to the Mill in a safe, Efficient, and reliable manner. Requirements are:RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Promote a safe and caring culture within the power departmentEnsure environmental compliance with all regulationsCoordinates and communicates with maintenance and plannersResponsible for producing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Works with maintenance to ensure all work orders receive timely rough cost estimatesEngage and develop crew leadership and provide world class customer service to other departments of the MillMange the reliability of the power boiler, turbine generator, Utilities, Recovery Boiler, Evaporator, Demineralizer and wastewater treatment systems.Provide guidance to the Mill to achieve minimum energy costsInteract effectively and cooperatively within all levels of the OrganizationManage all aspects of revenue generation including the marketing of electrical powerCoordinate all aspects of outages (planning, execution, reliability, cost, etc.)Support the Project Development Process, working closely with Project Engineering and Area leaders in Power and Maintenance.EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 5 years of pulp and paper experience or bachelor's in engineering with at least 2 years of equivalent experience.Solid understanding of the Power department- safety environmental, costs, quality and customers.Candidates must possess the ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks, an understanding of team concepts, a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, as well as an established skill to execute work based on standards and procedures.Qualified candidates must have a demonstrated ability to enforce accountability.Proven Safety Leadership SkillsDemonstrated competence to work:With minimum supervisionWith all levels of mill managementStrong technical and troubleshooting skillsPG range 13-14 based on qualifications Salary Range ($102,200-129,700)JobFamilyManufacturingJobFunctionMill OnlyPayTypeSalaryEmploymentIndicatorRegularPositionEffectiveStartUTC2026-09-01T00:00:00HiringMinRate110200HiringMaxRate129700
