Job Description
LABOR & DELIVERY NURSE - TRAVEL

Schedule:
- Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
- Ratios: 1:2 (days/nights/weekends)
- Contracted hours available: 36 or 48 hours

Assignment Details:
- Minimum assignment length: 10 weeks
- First-timers accepted

Requirements:
- Minimum required: 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
- Experience in a large L&D unit/facility
- Required clinical experience includes baby nurse (baby catcher), meconium deliveries, postpartum 3s/4s
- Circulate and fetal heart monitoring (FHM) skills required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide care to patients during labor and delivery, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and assess labor progress.
- Assist in the delivery of newborns, including high-risk deliveries.
- Conduct postpartum assessments and provide education to new mothers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.

Compliance / Notes:
- COVID-19 vaccine: optional (must upload series or declination)
- Flu vaccine: required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Drug screen: required within 30 days of start
- RTO preferences: maximum 7 days preferred; no RTO during the first 7 days or on last day of contract
