Electrical Technician Level 4

Description  

GEORGE MCKENNA ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS is seeking an experienced and motivated  Electrical Technician  Level 4to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in commercial electrical construction while working alongside experienced electricians and  foremen .

What  You’ll Do:  

• Assist with the installation of commercial electrical systems on new construction, renovation, and tenant improvement projects  

• Work under the direction of a Crew Leader or Foreman while learning commercial electrical installation techniques  

• Help measure, bend, and install EMT conduit, MC cable, and other electrical raceways  

• Assist with pulling wire, setting up wire-pulling equipment, and operating wire tuggers  

• Install electrical fixtures, devices, and other electrical components  

• Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings as training progresses  

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites  

• Organize and  maintain tools, equipment, and materials  

• Follow all OSHA and company safety policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) 

• Meet productivity and quality expectations  established by the Foreman  

 

What  You’ll Bring:  

 

• High school diploma or GED preferred  

• Previous construction or electrical experience is helpful but not  required  

• Electrical apprentice training or certifications are a plus  

• Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn  

• Good organizational and time management skills  

• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team  

• Positive attitude and commitment to workplace safety  

• Must  maintain a personal set of basic hand tools,  drill , drivers, and related attachments  

• Reliable transportation to assigned job sites  

 

Physical Requirements  

• Ability to  lift up to 50 pounds  

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, crawl, climb ladders, and work in various construction environments  

• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the workday
