We are looking for a motivated Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team in Red Wing, Minnesota.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building, troubleshooting, and working with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems while contributing to products used around the world.What You'll DoAs an Assembly Technician, you will:Build custom wood crates, pallets, skids, and shipping containers for industrial equipmentAssemble mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components into new productsRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and assembly instructionsMeasure, cut, and assemble materials using hand and power toolsPerform quality inspections and functional testing on equipmentDiagnose defects and assist with repairs and adjustmentsSupport rental equipment maintenance and refurbishmentWork closely with Manufacturing and Field Service teamsMaintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environmentPerform other duties as needed to support operationsWhat We're Looking ForRequiredHigh School Diploma or GEDAbility to safely use hand and power toolsAbility to lift 50+ poundsStrong mechanical aptitudeValid Driver's License or government-issued IDAbility to pass background screening, drug testing, and fit-for-duty requirementsPreferred ExperienceExperience in one or more of the following is highly desirable:Manufacturing or assemblyCarpentry or woodworkingMechanical assemblyHydraulicsElectrical wiringIndustrial maintenanceReading blueprints and technical drawingsHydraulic schematicsElectrical schematicsControl panel assemblyLow-voltage wiring (12V/24V)Multimeters, voltmeters, and electrical testing equipmentExperience with industrial equipment is a plus but not required—we are willing to train motivated individuals.Skills That Will Help You SucceedAttention to detailProblem-solving abilityStrong work ethicTeam-oriented attitudeMechanical troubleshooting skillsAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsBasic computer skillsPhysical RequirementsStanding and walking for extended periodsFrequent use of hands and armsLifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds or moreWorking safely around industrial equipment and power toolsWork EnvironmentManufacturing shop environmentUse of woodworking and industrial equipmentRequired PPE includes:Safety glassesHearing protectionGlovesSteel-toe footwearNo travel is required for this position.Why Join Mactech?At Mactech, you'll work alongside skilled professionals building equipment that supports major industries throughout North America and beyond.
