Financial Reporting Assistant

Assist in the preparation of the 10-K and 10-Q, associated workpapers and various other analyses in support of the Financial Reporting function for the company.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Participate in the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings such as Forms 10-Q and 10-K, including preparation of workpaper support financial statements, footnotes, management discussion and analysis, and external auditor compliance checklists
• Utilize financial reporting software to create, maintain and update reporting templates and data queries
• Actively research new and existing accounting guidance to ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC rules, including preparation of documentation for appropriate accounting and disclosure of complex business transactions and events
• Assist in compiling support for quarterly and annual earnings press releases and presentations for investors and analysts
• Support various aspects of the external audit, including managing audit requests to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements
• Document internal control procedures and assist internal audit with periodic testing to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act and controls pertaining to financial reporting process
• Assist with reviews of stand-alone financial statements prepared by the regional accounting teams
• Compile information/data for governmental census surveys, as required on an annual or quarterly basis
• Assist with special projects involving financial deliverables and ad hoc reporting, as needed

Working Conditions:

• Hybrid work schedule; a combination of working remotely from home and 3 days a week in the office.
• Open office environment.
• Some overtime is required to meet quarterly and annual close deadlines.
