OB/GYN Hospitalist

Join a collaborative group of OBGYNs who practice evidence-based medicine in a team-based manner at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, CA. Eden Medical Center, part of the Sutter Health Network, is seeking a full-time BC/BE OBGYN to join their OBGYN hospitalist program. This role provides 24/7 in-house care within a collegial atmosphere offering robust support and a comprehensive range of clinical services. Practice Info OBGYN hospitalist service provides 24/7 in-house care at Eden Medical Center with one in-house provider at a time Hospital’s birth center features 5 L&D rooms, 2 triage beds, 1 L&D OR, and 12 postpartum beds Features a 6-bed Level I-II NICU with care starting at 34 weeks Minimum of one in-house anesthesiologist for 24/7 coverage Full electronic medical record system (EPIC) and remote fetal heart rate monitoring Regional trauma center for Southern Alameda County delivering approximately 1,200 babies annually Responsibilities Delivery attendance OB triage Patient evaluation and management Surgical and OB delivery assists Fetal monitoring ED coverage for OB and Gyn patients Gynecologic consults Urgent/emergent gynecologic surgery Compensation $185.40/Hr. base compensation for full-time (1.0 FTE) clinicians Base compensation may be adjusted based on training, experience, community need, and other determining factors Signing bonus Benefits Shareholder eligibility after 2 years of employment Robust benefits and retirement packages Multiple health plan options, dental, and vision coverage Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options Life and AD&D Insurance, voluntary short-term and long-term disability coverage 401(k), safe harbor, and pension plan contributions Relocation allowance Malpractice and tail insurance coverage Shift & Schedule Full-time Requisition FTE 0.5-1.0 FTE Qualifications An active and unrestricted CA license or ability to obtain upon hire Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
