Quality Manager

Great Lakes Sound & Vibration (GLSV) is seeking an experienced, hands-on Quality Manager to lead and support quality activities across our manufacturing operations.

We’re looking for someone who understands the fundamentals of manufacturing quality—someone who can work closely with Engineering and Production to ensure the parts and assemblies we build meet print, specification, and customer requirements before they leave our facility.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure manufactured parts and assemblies meet engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.

Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.

Work directly with Production and Engineering to identify and resolve quality issues.

Manage nonconforming material and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Establish practical inspection methods and quality checkpoints throughout the manufacturing process.

Maintain appropriate quality records and documentation.

Support continuous improvement efforts aimed at reducing defects, rework, and scrap.

Promote the mindset that quality is built into the process—not inspected in at the end.

What We're Looking For

Manufacturing quality experience, preferably in machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, automotive, aerospace, defense, or a similar environment.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and GD&T.

Experience with common inspection and measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and similar tools.

Familiarity with dimensional inspection equipment such as FARO Arms, CMMs, or similar 3D measurement systems.

Working knowledge of root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and nonconformance processes.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Engineering, Production, and leadership.

Quality management or supervisory experience preferred.
