We proudly serve residents who depend on us for both long-term and short-term care, and we're always interested in connecting with dedicated professionals who share our commitment to excellence. If you're looking for a workplace with a supportive team, appreciative residents, and opportunities to grow your career, Desert View may be the right fit for you. What you'll do:Provide one-on-one supervision and companionship to assigned residents as directed by nursing staffSupport residents in a manner that promotes their rights, dignity, privacy, independence, and personal choicesEngage residents in appropriate activities such as reading, music, games, television, crafts, conversation, and permitted walksObserve residents for changes in social interaction, mood, behavior, or potential safety concerns and promptly report concerns to the Charge NurseRedirect residents when appropriate while following established care plans and instructions from nursing staffProvide companionship and positive social interactionAssist with meal and dining room setup and cleanupComplete other appropriate non-clinical duties as assignedWhat we offer:Competitive hourly pay based on experience Professional liability insuranceFlexible scheduleOn the job training/mentoring as neededContinuing educationWhat we're looking for:High school diploma, equivalent, or current enrollment in high schoolAbility to read, write, communicate, and understand instructions necessary to safely perform assigned job dutiesCompassionate and respectful approach when working with residentsDependable, patient, and comfortable working as part of a healthcare teamMust meet applicable background, registry, and employment eligibility requirementsMust have no disqualifying findings related to abuse, neglect, mistreatment, or misappropriation of resident property as required by applicable state and federal regulationsFeeding Assistant and behavior-related training/certification as required for assigned duties; training is provided in-house if not already completedPhysical Requirements:Standing and walking for extended periodsUsing a full range of body motion necessary for assigned dutiesLifting, pushing, or pulling approximately 50-100 pounds when requiredAssisting with heavier resident-related movement with appropriate assistance, equipment, and established safety proceduresWorking in an environment where exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases may occurHaving sufficient vision and hearing, with or without assistive devices, to safely perform the essential functions of the positionWhy us:Our Hospitality Aides, care for a geriatric population that depends on consistent, knowledgeable, and compassionate care.
