Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 6:30 AM–3:30 PM Pay: $25.00–$35.00/hour, with flexibility based on experience Location: Hancock, WI Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment and systems. This is a hands-on role supporting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and automated equipment with a strong focus on preventative maintenance and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain plant machinery and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
  • Read electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
  • Troubleshoot motors, motor controls, VFDs, and electrical systems.
  • Use multimeters and other testing/measurement equipment.
  • Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and light fabrication as needed.
  • Rebuild or modify machinery and equipment.
  • Safely operate equipment such as tractors, skid steers, and payloaders.
  • Complete and track repairs through the work order system.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of machine repair, industrial maintenance, or electrical systems experience.
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with AC/DC systems, motor controls, and VFD drives.
  • Welding experience, including ARC, MIG, and/or TIG.
  • Automation, PLC I/O, HMI, and Ethernet experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot a variety of equipment.

Requirements:

  • Drug and Background screening
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. (MVR)
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on industrial/agricultural maintenance position that may require working at multiple locations, climbing ladders, using elevated platforms, and working around production equipment.

The facility operates seven days per week. Occasional overtime, evenings, weekends, or off-day work may be required depending on production, repairs, workload, and seasonal needs. Benefits (employee contribution):
