You can choose between 40 hours or 32 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM (options for a 5-day or 4-day work week).

Our facility, specializing in Diabetes and Endocrine Care, is located at 9 Loon Hill Rd, Suite 301, Dracut, MA 01826.
This position is dedicated to delivering both professional and non-professional nursing care services as per physician directives. The role encompasses various Clinical Nurse responsibilities, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care needs of assigned patients, as well as executing nursing care and clinical support tasks within the defined scope of practice to fulfill the patient’s care plan.
The role requires a valid nursing license and involves professional contributions that may include overseeing the work of junior professionals or managing specific processes and programs. Most of the time will be spent on designing, implementing, or delivering processes, programs, and policies, utilizing specialized knowledge typically gained through advanced education.
This experienced-level position applies practical knowledge acquired through education and work experience. The individual will work independently under general supervision, facing challenging but typically straightforward problems, and may influence others in the job area by clarifying facts, policies, and practices.
Position OverviewThe individual in this role will possess and apply the necessary skills and knowledge for managing patient care from admission to discharge. Acting as an advocate for patients and their families, the role promotes a collaborative environment among all healthcare providers. Responsibilities include planning, delivering, and managing patient- and family-centered care, utilizing the nursing process while adhering to established nursing standards based on research and best practices. The goal is to provide clinical excellence that supports a patient- and family-centered care model.
Minimum Qualifications:- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Massachusetts.
- A minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience.
- Department-specific certifications relevant to the type of patient care provided.

- Conduct nursing activities that foster a compassionate, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff, aimed at promoting comfort and healing while preventing unnecessary suffering.
- Respect the dignity and privacy of patients and families in all interactions, establishing and maintaining trust within the nurse-patient/family relationship.
- Assess and identify expected patient outcomes based on diagnoses, data, and patient concerns.
- Engage patients and families in their care by acknowledging their knowledge and cultural needs to enhance the healthcare experience.
- Develop and implement individualized, outcomes-based care plans that consider the readiness and barriers to learning of patients and families.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and treatments tailored to specific diagnoses or issues.
- Document all aspects of care in accordance with hospital and regulatory policies, including treatments performed and patient responses.
- Perform procedures and treatments using nursing knowledge and judgment, adhering to established guidelines and professional standards.
- Safely administer medications and assess patient responses, applying knowledge of pharmacology and care standards.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care strategies based on patient responses and expected outcomes.
- Coordinate comprehensive discharge plans, utilizing appropriate resources and referrals for a seamless transition for patients and families.
- Create educational plans for patients and families, documenting according to departmental standards.
- Participate in patient safety, quality improvement, and process enhancement activities to support better patient outcomes.
- Provide leadership at the bedside as a delegator, collaborator, facilitator, and communicator.
- Maintain positive working relationships with peers and colleagues to foster a professional environment.
- Collaborate with nursing colleagues and other disciplines to implement care plans through participation in reporting rounds.
- Delegate responsibilities to others, considering their roles and capabilities.
- Treat all customers with courtesy and respect, acknowledging cultural differences.
- Engage in lifelong learning to maintain competence and enhance professional practice.
- Incorporate new knowledge and strategies to improve nursing care practices.
- May assume charge nurse responsibilities in collaboration with unit leadership.
- Mentor and precept newly hired staff and nursing students.
- Seek advanced certification and ongoing educational opportunities.
- Explore available technology and resources to integrate evidence-based practices into daily activities.
- Support unit and organizational growth through a shared governance model.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, taking responsibility for reviewing minutes if absent.
- Practice in accordance with the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act and professional standards.
- Occasional lifting of 30-35 lbs and turning patients.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Occasional twisting, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, sitting, kneeling, and squatting.
- Exposure to infectious diseases and potential carcinogenic chemicals.
- Exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
- Requires fine manual dexterity for patient handling.
- Requires visual and auditory acuity to monitor patient care.
- Effective communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.
- Knowledge and application of the nursing process.
- Ability to provide care for a designated group of patients following unit guidelines and hospital policies.
- Awareness of current healthcare trends, including advancements in technology and patient safety.
