We are committed to providing whole person care, investing in your well-being, and enriching your career.This is an on-site position at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.Job Summary:Observes, documents and reports baseline EKG rhythms, trends and changes to RNs and physicians on non-cardiovascular and selected cardiovascular patients. This service is provided to patient care units, clinical community and remotely at other Allina hospitals.Principle Responsibilities:Observes, documents and reports baseline EKG rhythm, trends and changesMaintains quality for monitor tracingsPerforms artifact free 12 lead EKGsProvides environment that is safe for patients, visitors and staffOther duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Must meet one of the following requirements: Associate's or Vocational degree health care related OR; Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant Program OR; Completion of the Allina Health Nursing Assistant (CNA) program OR; 1+ years of previous direct patient care experience OR; Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing programMust be 17 years of agePreferred Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED1+ years experience 12 lead EKG or EKG monitoring1+ years knowledge in cardiac rhythms and medical terminology1+ years of demonstrated computer experience preferably in electronic medical recordsLicenses/Certifications:Emergency Medical Tech - MN Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board preferred upon HirePhysical Demands:Light Work:Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequentlyPay Range:$23.95 to $32.38 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
